The Great (west african) Outdoors

A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to travel to Northern Benin with two other couples. It started with a 10 hour bus ride on an old, jam packed, non-air conditioned bus.... (it's all part of the experience when traveling to Pendjari National Park). All in all it was a great time filled with; bungalo-like hotel rooms with temperamental air conditioning, mosquito nets and large spiders, having to pee in the outdoors or behind buildings, many meals of tough rubbery chicken, broken down vehicles, and dug-out canoe rides to Burkina Faso.... but most importantly, the beautiful outdoors, wild animals, and great time spent with good friends.

so incredible. Thanks for keeping us up on what's going on. It looks like the should be plenty of open land for Justin to work on his golf game.

LOVE the beeeaters. Can't wait until I'm back in Africa! Next year, I'm doing an overland tour from Nairobi to Cape Town.
