Crazy Summer... coming right up!
I've been getting used to life at home with the little ones....a routine full of play dates, nap times, diaper changes, feeding baby, entertaining the imagination of a toddler, doing laundry, dishes, and cooking- all with songs from Dora and The Wiggles dancing through my head. My little girls keep me on my toes! Some of the daily grind is about to change though, as we embark on a very busy summer.
This Thursday, May 24th is our four year anniversary! It is also the day we will be closing on a house, the adventure of first time home owning has begun! We will be moving, yet again, the third time in a year. Since we have decided to stay with Mercy Ships indefinitely in the Lindale, TX area, we thought it would be wise to switch from monthly rent to monthly mortgage. Faithful supporters have made it possible for us to 'step out' in this area, we are very thankful.
After signing for the house (like, immediately after signing), we'll make the drive down to Houston and spend the night with Justin's family. And then.....
May 25th- Fly from Houston to Pennsylvania to visit Lorah's family
May 29th- Stevie Ray's (Justin's brother) graduation from the US Naval Academy- Annapolis, MD.
June 2nd- Justin and my brother-in-law, Scott, are participating in the Spartan Sprint, Tuxedo, NY. http://www.spartanrace.com/tristate-obstacle-racing-spartan-sprint-2012.html Woohoo!
June 2nd -5th : Connecticut for a few days connecting with friends and supporters and also sharing about Mercy Ships Sunday morning the 3rd at Christ Chapel (http://www.christchapelcma.org/tp40/default.asp?ID=18956)
June 6th- 13th : More Pennsylvania with family and friends
June 13th : Fly from PA to TX and make the drive from Houston to Lindale.
June 14th- 24th : Move into our 'new' home and unpack/settle (as much as possible before leaving again!)
Late June - Mid August : We are SHIP bound! We will be joining the m/v Africa Mercy in the Canary Islands where Justin will be supervising technical projects before the ship's next field service in West Africa.
Mid August : Back to Lindale, Texas, where we will continue to settle into our new home, Justin will continue working on new ship designs for Mercy Ships, and I will get the girls and myself back into a routine! (pheeew!)
Will we be seeing any of you this summer?! Please let us know if you'd like to connect.
