June Update

We're half way through a support raising trip to Pennsylvania and Connecticut. We were able to go down to Maryland for my brother Stephen's graduation from the Naval Academy. It was quite an honor to see him walk the stage and become an Ensign in the United States Navy. Congratulations Stephen!

On our way up to visit Connecticut last weekend, we made a pit stop in Tuxedo, NY for a Spartan Sprint race with my brother-in-law, Scott Reeser. It was a 'mud run' type obstacle course on the Tuxedo Ridge ski resort slopes. I slept like a baby that night and walked like an old man the next day!

We spent Sunday visiting Christ Chapel CMA in Madison, CT. It was wonderful to be back at Christ Chapel and we felt quite nostalgic during our time there. It always seems that you can never quite see everyone you had hoped to visit. To those of you we missed, we hope to see you next time! We were able to pop in for a quick visit with some work colleagues on Monday as well. Good to see all of you!

This weekend we will be sharing at California Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church in Morgantown, PA. We're looking forward to seeing our friends and family there on Sunday.

We've been visiting a number of other friends and supporters in the area that don't attend either of those churches and it's been a pleasure to spend time with them, despite the grueling schedule.

We're working hard to get the word out there that we need to raise more funds to meet our budget. We've got a bit of a savings buffer from living frugally on the ship as well as taking on extra work last year, but for us to be sustainable, we have to meet our budget goal. We are 72% of the way to our monthly support goal. If you're not already, please consider supporting us financially on a monthly basis, every little bit helps! Click here to support the Ray family's work with Mercy Ships

We have 18 days until we travel to the ship for the annual technical work period in the Canary Islands. This year I will be managing the 'Projects Team,' which is Mercy Ships volunteer workforce of skilled tradesmen. We will be doing all kinds of work and are still in need of a few more welders. If you'd like to help out, please contact me!

By the way, we've added a new Mercy Ships video in the side sidebar to the right. Check it out!
