Moving to Sweden

Sorry for the long delay between updates, it's been a busy year!

Since signing the contract with the shipyard, we've been hard at work reviewing specifications, plans, and arrangements. There's been a lot of travel, and a lot more to come! As I mentioned in December, we will be relocating to Sweden in June to support Stena, the company Mercy Ships has contracted to manage the project. I and will focus on the HVAC systems, hospital architectural details and provide guidance where our unusual operating profile affects the efficiency or practicality of standard technical solutions or arrangements.

I'm also in the process of upgrading my marine engineering license to First Assistant Engineer and working on paperwork and studying for the PE exam for mechanical engineering. I hope to upgrade my marine license before June and take the PE exam in October. It's an ambitious schedule, but my schedule doesn't have many holes in it for the next few years!

On a side note, these immigration people sure do like paperwork.
